Blooms of Endearment (2024) strives to capture the essence of the women in my life through their favorite flowers. Each image symbolizes the depth of connection I share with each woman. I intentionally position myself slightly hidden within the background of the compositions. This concealment of self serves as a metaphor for the concealed love that exists between us. The images serve as windows into a world of shared secrets, unspoken bonds, and the profound beauty that blooms when love is nurtured in the shadows. Using Palladium as a medium to create this series adds a preciousness, timelessness, and ethereal quality to the images, emphasizing the enduring nature of these relationships. The tonal range and subtle variations, in contrast, create a visual poetry that mirrors the intricate emotions we share with our loved ones.
